DIY PROJECTS: TUTORIALS

I thought it would be a good idea to do a little how-to guide on some of my selfmade things. Please comment if there's other of my DIY's that you want a tutorial on. (DIY = Do It Yourself)

STONE NECKLACE:
Use: Wire (steel wire in goden, silver - the color is up to you!), a nice stone or gem, a necklace ( I prefer them long).
Directions: Start wrapping the wire around the stone and keep doing that until the stone feels "secure" in the wire. Like it will not fall out. Then, make a little loop with the wire for the necklace. Get the necklace through the loop and - you're done!

RIPPED T-SHIRT:
Use: A plain t-shirt (I find H&M's basic t-shirts from the male department the best to rip), a scissor, maybe a needle, lots and lots of patience.
Directions: I find it really hard to explain, but here's a good tutorial (Press link)

PEACOCK FEATHER EARRINGS:
Use: Two peacock feathers (Those long ones, you know), a pair of earrings like these (link), some string, a scissor.
Directions: Cut the long peacock feather into shorter ones (like in picture above) and simply wrap the string around the top of the feather until it feels like the feather is secured. Then secure the feather to the earring with the string. And done!

SAFETYPIN CROSS T-SHIRT:
(Not the best picture of the shirt, but in style of Pelayo's divine shirt (link)
Use: A plain top/t-shirt, a lot of safetypins (I ordered about 200 on the internet).
Directions: It's easy but takes a lot of time. Simply start pinning the needles in the shirt right next to each other. Shape a cross.

FOX TAIL KEYCHAIN:
Use: A fox tail (I think you can buy them in fur-stores, but also on the internet), a little round key ring like the ones you carry your keys in, a scissor.
Directions: Make a little hole in the foxtail with the scissor and loop/put the little key ring into the hole. Now, it's done. Put it on a bag like I did, or something completely different.

DIY: STONE NECKLACE

The DIY I told you about in the last post. This necklace! I really like the rich, purple color of the stone (it's an amethyst) and I think the necklace turned out good.

Making these kind of necklaces is actually very easy (as if you couldn't figure that out yourself, ha ha) All you need is some wire, some kind of stone you like and ofc. a necklace. You wrap the wire around the stone and make one or two little loops for the necklace. Done in 5 minutes!

And before I'll turn off my computer, this lovely song:

1) Amazing book about hair + Pukkas Licorice & Cinnamon tea. Yummy! 2) The song Rainbow Girl by Giana Factory is on constant repeat on my MacBook at the moment. 3) My wall full of editorials and inspiring pictures, also my Vice poster. 4) Carin Wester and Acne shoe-love. 5) The hair color sprays from the last post. Big statement necklace is a gift from the best girl in the world. Little fringe necklace I bought in NY. 6) In love with golden statement earrings. Gives a kick to all my silver jewels. From left to right: H&M, H&M, vintage snake ones, earcuff made by always inspiring Anni (link) 7) Closeup of my new, secondhand 60's mini dress, that I bought for about $4. Changed the button to a lovely, golden one - looks nice.

Bonjour babes.
Made this earring/earcuff-thing today. It was easier than expected, and ended out better than what I hoped for - win! Very simple, here's what I used for it: A earcuff (mine bought in Beadhouse for about $7) tongs, thin wire, tiny earring and a cross charm. Hope you like it!

I'm back at blogging! I enjoyed some time off the blog, but I really started missing hearing from you guys/blogging. While there has been a no-blogging-period, I've been doing a lot of diy. First of all I did another ripped tee. It's my second ripped tee - last time I ripped the back as some of you might remember, but I decided to rip the front of the tee this time. I'm pleased with the result, and I'll show you how it looks on a human body (my body, haha) soon! xoxo, Maja.

UPDATE: I dont know whats happening to the quality of the photos! So sorry!

@Elizabeth (link) wrote a post about a this a safety/pin/cross/tee - and she inspired my to do a diy-one myself. The result ended up like showed on the photos above! I'm pleased, and it was a very easy diy-project. What do you think about it? Today has been spend with I (link) in the sun. Lovely day! Catch you later sweethearts!

So, Anni from Stylehurricane inspired me X 1ooo. I bet you guys remember the over awesome ripped tee she once made? I wanted to try out something like it. So I started ripping this shirt. I started, and I couldn't stop! I sat with this damn shirt all night. Doh - no sleep. Anyway, I think the result's pretty cool. What do you think? Bye!

D to the I to the Y

Made this diy leg-jewelry-thing some days ago. I actually quite like it, even though it's not the most comfortable thing to wear. It was very easy to do, it took about 15 minutes, and I used about 1/2 to 1 meter chain. Anyway, I want to apologize for the lame blogging lately, I just don't feel very inspired. Sorry!
Bye lovelies.

OH, DIY+

I made these peacock feather-earings, and the golden cross necklace last week. I really enjoy both things, and they were the most easy diy-projects ever! I cant wait to wear the earrings when it gets summer. Are you making any diy-thing at the moment? I would love some inspiration!

RIPPED.

I am not dead! I haven't been blogging for like a year, so sorry! Today, Im just chilling, drinking tea, playing with gickr.com animations, as I did here too - relaxing, yes please. What are you up to today, anything fun? And hey, what do you think about the black dress that Im wearing above? I have just bought it, and Im thinking about wearing it on Friday, at a party. Its so nice to write to you guys again, I have missed that the last couple of days! See you, xoxo. Im wearing: Top with "Paris"-print - Weekday, dress - Monki, ripped pantyhoses - diy, bag - my friend K's from Marc by Marc Jacobs, boots - Dr. Martens, wraistlets - vintage, Jimmy Choo for H&M, underneath Im wearing shorts from H&M.

DEAR MAILMAN, I THINK I HAVE A CRUSH ON YOU.

The Louis Vuitton-ish diy-project with a fox tail, I was talking about, do you like it?
The mailman brought me the Sonia Rykiel pour H&M wedges, that I have been talking about. OH YES! I love you mailman, please send me more packages like that one! I love them, I love shoes. Shoes. Shoes. Today I was standing in front of my mirror, putting together this look, when I decided that it would be fun with two skirts on top of each other. The transparent maxi skirt is pretty new, and I don't really know if I like it or not. What do you think about it? I'm wearing my all time favorite bag, my Juicy Couture - and guess whats on it? My Louis Vuitton inspired diy fox tail keychain! I think it went out pretty well, a cute keychain. What do you think? Jacket (photo 1) - See by ChloƩ. Turban - Vintage. Sweater - John Smedley. Dotted skirt - H&M. Transparent skirt - Vintage. Leggings - MaxMara. Shoes - Sonia Rykiel pour H&M. Bag - Juicy Couture.

I'm not a big fan of Louis Vuitton's ss10 collection, I don't know why, it just didn't make me leave breathless - do you know what I mean? But, but, but. One thing caught my eye, and as I started thinking about it, I liked the idea pretty much. I'm talking about the fox tails, that we saw everywhere on the Louis Vuitton ss10 runway, aren't they kind of cute? I found a brown/black fox tail in my basement - don't ask me what its doing there, anyway - and I was like "diy-project here I come!" So, I putted a fox tail on a keychain, and then - done. So easy! Now, I just don't know where to put it. On my bag as Louis Vuitton did, or maybe in my belt? Any ideas? I'll show you the result later, and maybe a tutorial with photos, what do you think? See ya later guys. xoxo.
